Cynthia J. In 2004, she relocated to the Denver metro area to open her own practice and never looked back. She has built a successful career and practice in the child welfare, adult protection, and family law areas and has served as court appointed counsel, private counsel, and guardian ad litem in well over one thousand child welfare, adult protection, and family law cases and appeals in Colorado. Her clinical psychology and counseling background, combined with twenty plus years as an attorney gives her a valuable perspective on the impact of substance abuse, mental health, and cognitive decline on family dynamics and a unique understanding of how to work with families in the legal system that are specifically affected by such issues.. Cynthia's experience has led her to observe that, more often than not, when families fight, no one wins.
