Rodney is a Fresno native who graduted from Sanger High in 2000 and California State University, Fresno, with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2004.. Rodney graduated from McGeorge School of Law in the winter of 2008, and was admitted to the California State Bar in June 2008.  In 2009, Rodney earned a Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.. Rodney worked with the Stanislaus, Solano, and Fresno County Public Defender's Offices.  During that time, he learned what cases were worth and how to take cases all the way through jury trial.  The fast paced environment of those offices has given him the experience necessary to feel comfortable and competent in any courtroom.  After joining the firm in April of 2012, Rodney was trained and now accepts Family and Insurance law cases.

Mr. Paloutzian has been practicing law for more than 20 years. He specializes in defense of health care providers in professional liability cases, probate litigation, business litigation and agribusiness. Prior to joining Baker Manock & Jensen in 2002, Mr. Paloutzian spent over five years as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Fresno where he prosecuted elder abuse, sexual assault, homicide, gang, 10-20-life and Three Strikes cases. In 2000, he was selected to be the County’s first elder abuse prosecutor and he spent two years handling both physical and financial elder abuse exclusively. He was the first prosecutor in FresnoCounty to convict at trial a defendant charged with elder abuse. He has tried more than 20 jury trials and numerous bench trials.

I was born and bred to defend! Both of my parents were criminal defense attorneys and taught me how important a proper defense is!  From a very young age I knew that my passion was to serve my community as a criminal defense attorney. My Bachelor of Science degree is in Criminology: Forensics Behavioral Science, which taught me the history of crime and how social and biological factors contribute to an individual committing a crime. I take that knowledge and apply it to the courtroom, fighting for my clients to get the proper treatment so that they never come back to court- as opposed to a system set on incarceration and punishment.. While in law school I spent two and a half years working for a prominent criminal defense law firm so that upon becoming an attorney I could hit the ground running. At that firm I worked closely with the two partners that had a combined 80+ years of experience and involved me in every step of very complicated and high profile cases. I worked at that firm for another three years as a lawyer before taking a leap and starting my own firm, Proper Defense Law Corporation where the lawyer you hire is the lawyer that handles your case.
