A native of Danville, Virginia, Harry Sakellaris is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia.  He obtained his law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law of Mercer University and a Master of Law and Taxation degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William and Mary, in 1986.  Harry is active in the community, having served on the Board of Directors of the Danville Chapter of the American Red Cross as chairman and president,  The Danville Speech and Hearing Center, Stratford House, The Community Tax Law Project (Richmond, Virginia) , Danville Community College Educational Foundation, Inc., the Danville Area Humane Society, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Danville Area, as Co-Trustee of the JT-Minnie Maude Charitable Trust, and as an adjunct faculty member at Danville Community College and Averett University.  Harry is a Certified Public Accountant and his practice primarily involves wills, estate planning and administration, probate, trust law, charitable giving, and corporate law.
