A Wyoming native, Marty L. Oblasser attended the University of Wyoming to obtain both her undergraduate and juris doctor degrees.  Marty began her career as an associate attorney in the Legacy Planning Department with a law firm in Casper, Wyoming.  During that time, Marty not only focused on building an estate planning and business law practice but she also engaged in trust litigation matters and successfully argued to the Wyoming Supreme Court.  In January 2015, Marty became a partner with Wyoming's oldest law firm, Corthell and King, P.C.  Marty is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Wyoming as well as the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. When not in the office, Marty enjoys educating the public about various estate planning and business law matters.  Specifically, has been quoted in over 100 media outlets across the country.  Marty has also had the opportunity to write for WealthCounsel, a national network of transactional and estate law attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors, regarding Wyoming Limited Liability Companies (GreenHunter Energy, Inc.: The Rare Case When the Limited Liability Veil will be Pierced in Wyoming [and Probably in Every Other Jurisdiction]).  Furthermore, Marty has also taught legal seminars for her local community and was invited to present continuing legal education courses to her peers for the Wyoming State Bar and the National Business Institute. Marty, her husband, Erik (also a partner with Corthell and King, P.C.), and their two dogs reside in Laramie, Wyoming.  They enjoy traveling, hunting, fishing, and generally all things outdoors.  She has also been active in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program since 2008, serves on community boards, and is an active participant in Equal Justice Wyoming, which provides pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford an attorney.
