I explain how a case is initially investigated, the process of filing of charges by the prosecuting attorney and then how an individual both responds to charges as well as the process of attending associated hearings. I then provide a general explanation of defenses that can be raised against criminal charges and approaches that can be taken to either obtain a successfully negotiated resolution and/or how we prepare a case for trial. In most cases a successfully negotiated is possible. If not, the ability to take the case to trial is always an option of the client.. I represent clients throughout the entire state of Washington; however, most of my cases are in King, Snohomish and Pierce County. This means that I represent individuals in all of the District Courts of these counties as well as in all of the municipal courts such as Issaquah, Kirkland, Seattle, Bothell, Everett, Marysville and Tacoma Municipal Courts. Beyond the District and Municipal Court setting, I routinely represent individuals charged with felony offenses in King and Snohomish County Superior courts..
