He was also a four year varsity lacrosse player at Tufts and honored as team captain his senior year. He then graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware.. Mr. Kurlander is a former judicial clerk to the Honorable Paul E. Alpert, Associate Judge of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. He is also a former judicial clerk to the Honorable Edward J. Angeletti, Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Maryland.. Mr. Kurlander brings a tireless work ethic to his cases. Senior partner Kerry Staton has affectionately called him the "James Brown of Schochor, Federico and Staton" for being the hardest-working man in the firm.. Outside of his responsibilities at the firm, Mr. Kurlander is an active supporter of the Calvert School and Gilman School in Baltimore and Tufts University.. Mr. Kurlander is a devoted husband and proud father. He lives with his wife, an Assistant Attorney General in Maryland, and three children in Reisterstown, Maryland.
