In the collaborative process, each party has his or her own attorney, along with a neutral financial professional and counselor. The participants follow a protocol to develop resolution options to work collaboratively towards the dissolution of marriage, as oppose to the traditional adversarial process.. Karen graduated cum laude from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, and received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Delaware, graduating cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.. Karen is a proud member of the board of directors for the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida. Karen also is a member of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida, serving on its membership committee. Karen is actively involved with the Orange County Bar Association and is an editor of its academic publication, The Briefs. She is also a graduate of the Athena NextGen Women's Leadership Institute, and currently serves on its recruitment committee..
