After graduating from the University of Michigan, Dan Makled went into business with his father, who owned a number of small businesses in the city of Detroit. These businesses included car washes and collision shops among others. When Dan turned 29, after working in his family’s businesses for years, he began feeling as though the work he was doing was not fulfilling or gratifying in the way he wanted it to be. Dan knew he wanted to pursue a field that allowed him to feel as though he was serving a higher purpose. Dan decided he could make a difference in the legal field and returned to law school at thirty years old, graduating near the top of his class..
