Farhad Alavi is a Washington, DC-based attorney with extensive experience in international trade compliance and defense, as well as international commercial transactions.  This includes advising clients on OFAC sanctions and BIS export controls, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and US Customs matters, along with white collar criminal defense in IEEPA (sanctions) matters. Most recently, he has secured the removal of a company off the BIS Entity List and has secured the releases of large numbers of goods detained by US Customs & Border Protection (CBP)..
