Stephanie A. Pfeifer, Esq. is a West Virginia and Virginia licensed attorney.   In addition to her membership to the West Virginia State Bar, Mrs. Pfeifer is admitted to the Commonwealth of Virginia State Bar, Federal Courts in the Southern District of West Virginia and United States Bankruptcy Court. Mrs. Pfeifer received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Concord University in Athens, WV and received her Juris Masters and Juris Doctorate degrees from the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, VA.  While in law school, Mrs. Pfeifer served as a Senior Editor for the Appalachian Journal of Law as well as Vice President of Christian Legal Society. Mrs. Pfeifer has been a member of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society and the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society since 2012. Additionally, Mrs. Pfeifer has been published in various literary magazines for creative writing and has a legal article titled, "From Inconsistent to Non-Existent: How Current Legislation Regulating Gestational Surrogacy Agreements Is Failing To Protect American Women, Men, Children & The Judiciary," scheduled to be published in the 2016-2017 edition of the Appalachian Journal of Law. Mrs. Pfeifer has been practicing criminal defense work since her the start of her career and currently serves as an Assistant Public Defender for the Public Defender Corporation for The Ninth Judicial Circuit, Mercer County, WV.. In her spare time, Mrs. Pfeifer enjoys spending time with her husband, their two dogs, and traveling.
