Nicholas Rosenberg has been an active member of the State Bar of California since 2004 and is a Certified Legal Specialist in Criminal Law.  He earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco and his undergraduate degrees from the University of California at Berkeley in both Philosophy and Architecture.  His high academics and community work have resulted in many awards.. Mr. Rosenberg has a science background and a strong litigation record after having been a public defender in Ventura and Central California for three years.  He has tried nearly every type of misdemeanor case and several felonies, and has the experience to handle any type of criminal matter.  He has the background to focus on the complexities of DUI trials, which are some of the most difficult trials to win.. Additionally, Mr. Rosenberg is quite passionate about defending gang allegations, drug crime allegations, sexual offenses and cases involving conspiracy and criminal organizations.  His life experience as a community organizer in high crime and low income neighborhoods distinguish his ability to formulate legal defense strategies.. Mr. Rosenberg was Lead Arbitrator for the San Francisco Community Court for the Tenderloin and South of Market, and codeveloped a Shoplifter Offender Program with the District Attorney’s Office.  He was an extern with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in the Criminal Research section of the Office of Staff Attorneys dealing with federal criminal appeals.. Mr. Rosenberg has served on the Board of Directors for the Glide Economic Development Corporation developing  non-profit housing in San Francisco.  Prior to law school he served as the Director of a non-profit agency doing community organizing to improve San Francisco's Tenderloin and Sixth Street corridors.  He has been a longtime advocate for rehabilitation and reentry services for inmates and prisoners.
