Born in Union City, New Jersey to Cuban Immigrants, Barbara M. Rodriguez recognized the struggles and respected the sacrifices made by immigrant parents so that their children could live a life full of freedom and opportunities.  It was this first-hand experience that inspired her to strive to represent her heritage by working with the Hispanic community from the beginning of her career.  Attorney Rodriguez was the first member of her family to attend college and graduate from a University.  Graduating from Western State University, Fullerton California in 1989 represented the beginning of a dream all immigrant parents long for: To see their children take advantage of the opportunities they did not have, witness them develop a better life than they had and observe as they share their talents and blessings with others..
