I graduated law school and licensed to practice law in 2001. I am licensed to practice law in Florida, Federal Southern and Middle District of Florida, 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.  I started a law firm in January of 2002 and acted as general counsel of a publicly traded company garnering invaluable experience as a commercial litigator and transactional attorney.  In April of 2002, I co-founded Kotzker/Shamy, which operated as K/S, Attorneys at Law since 2008.  In January of 2022, K/S, Attorneys at Law announced two new partners to the firm, Tina El Fadel and Anastasia Mahone, and has since changed its name to Shamy, El Fadel & Mahone, PLLC, d/b/a SEM Law Group.  Over close to a twenty year period, I have been instrumental in building a successful mid-small boutique law firm in the heart of Boca Raton known.  I pride myself and my firm not only in its level of service, knowledge, expertise and more importantly, results we garner for our clients, but also my clients' access to their assigned counsel.  We ensure that our clients have access to their counsel.  As a business person myself, I also understand that fees should be borne upon work, not inner office communications or two second phone calls billed at minimum rates that bear no significance or benefit to a client's legal matter other than to bolster billable hourly time.. In addition to my firm, I have a built and cultivated a plethora of diversified businesses throughout the east coast of the United States.  However, I remain a practicing attorney due to my passion of the law.  I am a family man, blessed with a wife and two beautiful and wonderful kids.  I am a competitive athlete, having participated in sports for the greater part of my life. My competitive life in sports cultivated a competitive spirit in business and law.  I also love to keep my edge and experience like to experience life through adrenalin pumping activities, such as driving on a road course track or exercise until my heart feels like its pounding a hole through my chest.  Most of all, I love my family, and our firm is a family owned and operated firm.  Every one who works for my firm is family to me, and our clients are treated and cared for like family just the same; hence why the firm is successful.  We have clients going back from the inception of the firm..
