He is the recipient of two Member of the Year awards for 1997 and 2007 and one Public Service Award from MTLA/MAJ in 1994 and the 2009 Award of Professional Excellence by the MSBA as well as the 2005 Attorney of the Year Award by Minnesota Lawyer.
