Courtney has also worked on a number of UIFSA and UCCJEA cases, or modifications of out-of-state custody and child support orders. Additionally, she has assisted with family law appeals and jury trial preparation.. Prior to opening her own firm, Courtney spent several years working for an established boutique family law firm in Austin. Before that, she was a certified law clerk directly representing survivors of domestic violence in family law cases through Bay Area Legal Aid and the King Hall Family Protection Clinic. She also gained valuable legal research and drafting experience with The Family Violence Appellate Project in Oakland, CA.
