After graduating from Colby College, Jason attended University of Maine School of Law in Portland where he graduated cum laude. During law school, Jason gained experience representing large corporations such as Bath Iron Works at the firm of Monaghan Leahy in Portland. He also completed an internship for the Kennebec County District Attorney’s office. After law school, Jason worked in the Appellate Division of Unum Insurance Company. In 2001, Jason left Unum for private practice and he has been representing Maine people ever since.. After joining private practice, Jason trained under his father, former attorney and current Maine Supreme Court Justice Joseph Jabar and former law partner and current Maine Superior Court Justice Michaela Murphy. Jason currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Jason has handled hundreds of cases, including 2 criminal homicide cases. He has fought in over one hundred contested trials, including several jury trials.
