Attorney David P. Traywick is a Charleston local. He grew up on the Isle of Palms primarily surfing anything that moved and by age 15 was local champion. He also excelled in other sports including soccer, baseball and was, at one time, unbeatable at ping-pong. David attended Porter Gaud, The Asheville School and graduated from Wando high school before attending Clemson University and University of South Carolina.. David's approach to law is different than most. Like most lawyers handling litigation matters, he brings a competitive spirit to his law practice. But he is tempered because he values clients and the ethics of his practice more than anything else. David is not a career lawyer. After college he sold stocks and bonds at Morgan Stanley and worked other sales positions into his early 30s before attending law school, once again, at the University of South Carolina.. David's well rounded background leads to creative solutions. He is completely client-centric, always seeking a superior result. David is always looking for angles and advantages whether procedural or digging through substance in search of the 'silver bullet'. Relentless, David doesn't quit and he will go down swinging before throwing in a towel. David practices law solo, handling only a small caseload - so he usually answers his phone when his clients call.. Traywick has a lot of interests and can usually be found reading - from legal papers to his favorite topics: archaeology, capital markets, art, economics, history, architecture,  technology, military history, politics, and sometimes, pop culture. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Charleston County Bar Association, and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. He has been included in the Super Lawyers® Rising Stars® list for 5  years in a row.
