I am licensed in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and the District of Columbia and am a "Recognized Environmental Law Specialist " by the New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization.  I have extensive experience in environmental and natural resources law including oil and gas, copper mining and many manufacturing operations.  My experience includes approvals and permits for natural resource development, litigation in defense of CERCLA or Superfund liability cases, climate change including comments on issues and new regulation, hazardous waste permitting and compliance under RCRA, civil and criminal defense for environmental notices of violation, ASTM Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and coordination with real property transfers, Legal and Other Review for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Facility Certifications, responses to emergency incidents and spill events and environmental due diligence associated with mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings.  I have spoken on Global Warming, Emergency Incidents and Emergency Reporting, RCRA Penalties and Compliance, Advanced Real Estate Law and Environmental Due Diligence and Best Practices in Mold Litigation.. In addition, I work with industry trade associations to review and comment on federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations and represent Clients before federal and state courts. I was appointed in 2017 to The Associated General Contractors of America's Environmental Forum Steering Committee to review AGC's policies and programs.
