He lettered in Football, Basketball & Track and was awarded a five year full Track scholarship to the University of Arkansas (1958-1963). Ralph was inducted into the Arkansas Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2002 as well as inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Industrial Engineers in 2005.
