My practice is focused on the areas of Business Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Business Litigation, Creditor/Debtor Negotiation, and other General Business work, oftentimes within the context of Chapter 11 Reorganizations.  I assist companies that are in need of financial restructuring--whether in or outside of bankruptcy court--and help them to continue operating and preserve their assets and assemble a business plan that will allow them to succeed.. I also deal with matters involving general business litigation, commercial leasing, non-compete agreements, LLC and business formation, foreclosure and out-of-court workout cases, estate planning, real estate transactional work, and taxation issues involving distressed real estate.. Outside of the office, I enjoy many of the things Milwaukee has to offer: running and biking by the lakefront, attending MSO and broadway shows at the Marcus Center, cheering on Marquette at the Bradley Center, and enjoying the many farmers markets and community events througout the season.  I have previously served on the Board of my downtown condo building and have been involved with the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association.

Krysta works as an associate attorney at Credit Solutions, S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She earned her JD from Drake University Law School in 2012. As a student, she was a Dean’s List honoree, served as the philanthropy chair for the school’s Delta Theta Phi Chapter and held numerous internships across several areas of the law. She also received her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in International Studies and Spanish language from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008. Ms. Kerr is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin as well as several United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts throughout the country. She is an active member of the Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditor’s Rights section of the Wisconsin State Bar and has twice served as a presenter at the section’s annual law update in Kohler, Wisconsin. Prior to joining Credit Solutions, S.C., Krysta was the Managing Attorney of the Chapter 13 Department at Miller and Miller as served as Lead Bankruptcy Attorney for a local creditor’s right firm. Her diverse bankruptcy background provides our clients with a unique perspective on the interplay between bankruptcy and default law matters.. A self-proclaimed “Badger Fanatic” and former Men’s Basketball Team Manager, Krysta closely follows all the Wisconsin sports teams and enjoys attending as many games as possible. Outside of sports, she also enjoys local brewery tours, summer festivals and supporting groups like the Wisconsin Humane Society, Wildlife in Need Center and Camp Anokijig. A native of Hartland, Krysta and her husband now reside in New Berlin with their daughter, son, two cats and dog.

Beth M. Brockmeyer is an attorney in the Milwaukee office and a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy group. She advises clients regarding the intersection of bankruptcy law and business termination, dissolution of marriage, and tax law. Beth provides a sensitive, highly detailed, and individual approach to solving the financial problems of both individuals and businesses. Beth joined the firm in 2021, bringing with her extensive experience in representing individuals and businesses in complex bankruptcy proceedings, along with experience in foreclosure litigation. Beth formerly represented one of the largest US lenders on its residential foreclosure portfolio. She is a speaker and author on various consumer and business bankruptcy topics. Attorney Michael J. Maloney is a managing partner with Watton Law Group’s bankruptcy department. L. Rev. 159 (1987).. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin law school, Jerry immediately represented chapter 11 debtors with a mid-size Milwaukee firm and eventually worked for one of the largest firms in Milwaukee before founding Kerkman & Dunn in 2006.  Kerkman & Dunn grew to be one of the most successful chapter 11 boutique firms in the Midwest and in May of 2017 was joined by the lawyers from Wagner Law Group, a litigation boutique in Milwaukee  to become Kerkman Wagner & Dunn.  It practices bankruptcy throughout the State of Wisconsin and in Northern Illinois, and has represented large chapter 11 debtors in bankruptcy courts in Madison, Wausau, Chicago and of course Milwaukee.. Jerry and Kerkman Wagner & Dunn have represented creditors' committees, individual creditors and chapter 11 debtors.  Their approach is often innovative.  For example, the leading case to consolidate a large number of chapter 11 debtors into a smaller, more manageable number of debtors was approved recently by the bankruptcy and district courts in Milwaukee in the Bruckner decision.  Jerry has also developed and led claim processes that took a large number of claims and resolved disputes to them with minimal court hearings.  The firm's approach to cases usually results in a confirmed plan of reorganization because it emphasizes a business approach to cases; before filing a case, the exit strategy must be known..
