Asima M. Azam heads the community association law practice group, providing comprehensive legal assistance to over 100 condominiums, homeowners associations and planned communities in Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.  Ms. Azam provides counsel to her clients on a full range of matters including interpreting governing documents and applicable law, enforcing covenants and rules, collecting delinquent assessments, reviewing and drafting contracts and leases, drafting rules and regulations and amending governing documents. Her understanding of the unique needs of each community association she represents enables her to effectively and promptly solve problems and provide preventative counseling to her clients. In addition, Ms. Azam provides assistance to developers in the formation and set up of new condominiums and planned communities, drafting covenants and restrictions and preparing filings for the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes.. As a native of Florida, I received my undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University. I recently graduated from Dwayne O. Andreas Barry University School of Law and have been admitted to the Florida Bar.. While in Law School I was a member of the Law Review (holding a Senior Editor position), Sports Law Society, Delta Theta Phi International Law Fraternity, Young Lawyers Association and was, and currently am, a member of the American Bar am also a member of the Orange County Bar Assoication.. After Law School, I decided to take a job working In-House Counsel for Farmers Insurance, working in the Bodily Injury Department with the litigation team defending Personal Injury Lawsuits. Currenly, I am currently the Owner of the law firm, JMS Law, P.A., and practice in Real Estate Law and Transactions, Business and Acquitiions, and Asset Protection. Angela Stanley grew up in the Central Florida area, where she attended Lake Brantley High School.  After High School, Angela moved to Gainesville, Florida where she attended the University of Florida for both her undergraduate degree and law school degree.  While attending law school, Angela received a Book Award for having the highest grade in her Legal Research and Writing Class and was later a Teaching Assistant for two classes.  In addition to excelling in class, Angela was also the University of Florida, Chapter President for the American Bar Association, where she travelled to different cities throughout the country to represent the University of Florida, College of Law.. After graduating from law school, Angela started practicing civil litigation in the Central Florida area in 2002.  Angela has had the honor of working for two large law firms and then spent five and a half years working as in-house counsel for the largest insurance company in the country.. Through her employment and real world experiences, Angela quickly learned that not every situation can be worked out mutually.  However, in today’s society, most civil attorneys have never gone to trial.  Angela understands the importance of mediation but also believes that an attorney should be well rounded for situations when trial is necessary.  As such, Angela has valuable trial experience which can assist when non-contested matters become contested.  In addition to mediating hundreds of cases, Angela has extensive experience in trial preparation and has completed numerous civil trials (both jury and non-jury).. Abbye began her legal career in 2003 and has gained extensive trial experience in numerous bench and jury trials in various courts and has acted as voir dire through closing arguments. She spent the last 10 years representing a variety of clients including businesses, associations, individuals, and local, regional and national banks. She joined Killgore Pearlman as a partner in July, 2014, and practices in the firm's Commercial Litigation group with a focus on business and civil litigation.. As a commercial and business litigation practitioner, Abbye handles complex civil litigation matters which include breach of contract claims, intentional and negligent torts, insurance defense, commercial collections, and commercial real property and landlord/tenant disputes.
