On July 17, 2023, I joined Brennan Law Offices. Prior to joining Brennan Law Offices, I was an associate with High Swartz, having joined the firm in 2016 as a result of a merger with McNamara, Bolla & Panzer, a firm I joined in 2007. I focus my practice in the areas of workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability. I represent injured workers' and employers in workers’ compensation matters at the trial and appellate level in Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley and the surrounding area.. With 15 years of experience as a registered nurse, I bring a unique perspective that is especially beneficial in handling medically complex workers’ compensation cases. My love of caring for people began in high school when I worked as a nursing assistant in both geriatric and pediatric skilled nursing facilities.  After becoming a registered nurse, I worked over 15 year in medical and surgical intensive care units.. My family operates several businesses through which I help run various fundraising events for Shriners' Hospital for Children. In my free time I enjoy watching my three sons compete in high school and collegiate level wrestling and football.

I have lived in Allentown for virtually my entire life, having grown up here and gone through the Allentown public schools.  I graduated from Cornell University with a BA in English, and from the University of Michigan Law School, with a JD, cum laude.  At Michigan, I was an Assistant Editor of the Law Review.  After graduation, I spent several years with a major Philadelphia law firm and then came back to Allentown, where I have been since 1970.. I am admitted to practice before the courts of Pennsylvania, the United States Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Claims, and the United States Supreme Court.. I am certified as a "Civil Trial Advocate" by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.. In 2012, I was the recipient of the Lifetime Service Award from the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.  In 2014 I was elected President of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.

I became interested in the law while working as a social worker in Baltimore City's foster care system. I worked diligently cutting through red tape, making tough decisions, and helping others.  While in law school, I studied, worked part-time, and volunteered with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program and SADFL (Student Animal League Defense Fund).  I also became a certified legal intern my last semester which provided me a better opportunity to work hands-on with clients and their legal needs.. After becoming a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I began representing claimants before the Social Security Administration.  I traveled a lot as I attended over one hundred hearings per year since 2012. Now, I settled down in Wilkes Barre, where I primarily fight for the sick and injured, focusing my practice on Social Security and Workers' Compensation.. Even with a busy career, I still find the time to enjoy adventures with the love of my lift, play with my rescue dog, and have fun with friends and family.  As giving back to the community is important to me, I still volunteer my time as I chair the board of directors for NPLS (North Penn Legal Services) and am a designated coordinator for Wills For Heroes in Pike County.  This is a great program where we execute free wills, living wills, and POAs for first responders and veterans.

CERTIFIED AS A SPECIALIST:  Tim Brennan is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.. BIOGRAPHY:  Mr.  Brennan was raised in the coal region working in his family’s well known mom and pop restaurant. He began his legal career in the Lehigh Valley as a Bethlehem and Northampton County Solicitor. He lives in Doylestown and is a state house member there.. Mr. Brennan graduated from Ursinus College in 2000, where he received his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Politics and a double minor in International Relations and American Studies. During this period he completed separate United States Congressional Internships with Congressmen Joe Hoeffel and Congressman Tim Holden.. Mr. Brennan also graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2003, where he was a leadership scholar, served as a senior member of the Law Review and graduated cum laude. He received the 2003 Widener Law Journal Outstanding Student Article Award for his article on Pennsylvania’s redistricting. He also studied at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.. Mr. Brennan previously served as an attorney for a large defense firm and for the Governor’s Office of General Counsel. He was appointed Assistant Solicitor for the City of Bethlehem in 2005 by Mayor John B. Callahan, where he also represented the Police and Fire Pension Funds. In 2008 he was appointed as Solicitor for Northampton County Controller Stephen J. Barron. In 2018, he was appointed assistant solicitor by County Executive Lamont McClure for Northampton County.. Mr. Brennan has been published in the fields of equine law and redistricting law, has argued several times before Commonwealth Court and has lectured on various topics at the Dickinson School of Law and for the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has appeared on numerous local and national television and radio shows.. Mr. Brennan volunteers for or has founded a number of charitable, legal, political, religious and community organizations and is an Adjunct Professor for Northampton Community College. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars.
