As a licensed title insurance agent, Rich manages the title insurance and settlement company, ABE Settlement Services, to creatively serve client needs.  He currently serves as legal counsel to the Lehigh Valley Association of REALTORS®.. Rich serves as Solicitor for Lower Macungie Township and as Assistant Lehigh County Solicitor, advising the Sheriff’s Office, the Tax Assessment Office and the Tax Claim Bureau and frequently writes and lectures on real estate matters, sheriff’s sales and real estate tax sales.  He moderated “Sheriff's Sales in Pennsylvania” and authored “Sheriff's Sales and Real Estate Tax Sales” for A Day on Real Estate, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI).  Previously, he has presented lectures on mortgage foreclosures, "Issues in Commercial Mortgage Foreclosure" and "Issues in Residential Mortgage Foreclosure" for PBI and has lectured at the annual Real Estate Institute Program.. Active in many community organizations, Rich was a past president of the Salisbury Township School Board.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Lehigh County Bar Association, where he served as President in 1992. Rich collects antique automobiles and represents several valuable collections, as well as many local automobile and motorcycle dealerships.

I have lived in Allentown for virtually my entire life, having grown up here and gone through the Allentown public schools.  I graduated from Cornell University with a BA in English, and from the University of Michigan Law School, with a JD, cum laude.  At Michigan, I was an Assistant Editor of the Law Review.  After graduation, I spent several years with a major Philadelphia law firm and then came back to Allentown, where I have been since 1970.. I am admitted to practice before the courts of Pennsylvania, the United States Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Claims, and the United States Supreme Court.. I am certified as a "Civil Trial Advocate" by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.. In 2012, I was the recipient of the Lifetime Service Award from the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.  In 2014 I was elected President of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley.

I became interested in the law while working as a social worker in Baltimore City's foster care system. I worked diligently cutting through red tape, making tough decisions, and helping others.  While in law school, I studied, worked part-time, and volunteered with the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program and SADFL (Student Animal League Defense Fund).  I also became a certified legal intern my last semester which provided me a better opportunity to work hands-on with clients and their legal needs.. After becoming a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I began representing claimants before the Social Security Administration.  I traveled a lot as I attended over one hundred hearings per year since 2012. Now, I settled down in Wilkes Barre, where I primarily fight for the sick and injured, focusing my practice on Social Security and Workers' Compensation.. Even with a busy career, I still find the time to enjoy adventures with the love of my lift, play with my rescue dog, and have fun with friends and family.  As giving back to the community is important to me, I still volunteer my time as I chair the board of directors for NPLS (North Penn Legal Services) and am a designated coordinator for Wills For Heroes in Pike County.  This is a great program where we execute free wills, living wills, and POAs for first responders and veterans.
