First, the graph showing my usual practice areas is completely wrong, and I do not know where Avvo got that data. My main practice area is in landlord-tenant law, real estate law, and consumer law. I do a lot of litigation. I have not had any child custody cases, but other attorneys at my firm do a lot of divorce and child custody cases.. Second, while I do not currently practice in these areas, I am passionate about and closely follow the goings-on of criminal defense and intellectual property law.. Third, I do not currently charge anything for my services because I am employed by a non-profit legal aid provider.. With that out of the way, I am a nerd for legal writing and document design. My favorite typeface is Century Schoolbook (11 point font), I use the serial comma, and I read Bryan Garner for fun. I am a fan of using complete sentences in the subheadings of motions and writing briefs in CREAC format.
