The Work Comp Department of Bailey & Galyen provides legal services exclusively to injured workers that have a claim under the Division of Worker's Compensation.. In Texas, employers are not required to carry worker's compensation insurance for their employees. For the companies that do provide worker's compensation coverage, we can assist you in your claim. Thank you for viewing my profile.  I am a former CPS Assitant District Attorney.  I was licensed to practice law in 1995 and I have been in private practice for 27 years.. ADOPTION:  I am an adoptive parent of three children.  I have consumated the adoption of over 700 children.  I frequently train attorneys on adoption law and I have authored many papers on adoption law.. AWARDS:  I am the receipient of the Texas A&M University School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan Universtiy) Alumni of the Year award.  I won this because of my years of service to the National Adoption Day committee.   I have been voted as the Top Adoption Lawyer in Fort Worth Magazine, five years in a row. I am served three terms on the State Bar of Texas' Child Abuse and Neglect Committee.

Since graduating from Baylor Law School I have been a solo practitioner, as well as a shareholder with Cribbs & McFarland, PC, an Arlington law firm where I handled most of the litigation.  I also have handled many matters involving real estate, business and probate that did not involve contested lawsuits.. My objective is to work with my clients to determine their goals, or as I usually ask "at the end of the day when all this is behind you, what does it look like.  What do you want to see?  What do you want to accomplish?"  After agreeing on a realistic end-game we can tailor strategy and work towards achieving it.  Sometimes it is as straightforward as deciding how their estate is to be distributed in a Will.  Other times it is how to handle a lawsuit that has been brought against them, or how to vindicate their rights if they have a claim against someone else.. There is no such thing as a routine matter.

I was born in San Antonio, TX, where I spent the first decade of my life. A change in employment for my father meant a move to South America. There I spent five years living in Venezuela before returning to the great state of Texas, where I have resided ever since. My time in South America allowed me to experience an entirely different culture and gave me the opportunity to become fluent in Spanish, a valuable asset in my current practice.. After graduating from high school in Dallas, I attended Texas Tech University where I received a BBA in International Business from the Rawls College of Business. During that time, I also studied abroad in Spain, where I was able to complete a minor in Spanish. Before continuing my education, I moved to Vail, Colorado where I worked as a ski patroller at the Beaver Creek Resort for two seasons. Later, I attended law school in Fort Worth, earning my Juris Doctor from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now the Texas A&M University School of Law).. I joined Bailey & Galyen in 2013 to work in its Workers' Compensation department protecting the rights of Texas workers.

I am a native West Texan, who moved from Lubbock to Tarrant County to practice law  in 1987.  I live in southern Arlington with my wife.  Prior to practicing law I worked as a CPA helping individuals, families, small business owners and  farmers with income, estate and payroll tax issues.   My practice  is focused on helping clients understand and work through  the legal aspects of the health care system in order to take care of themselves and their families.  I frequently advise clients on how to more effectively use the legal documents I prepare for them.. You may see me at various long-bow archery competitions around the State from time to time, including Chester and the State Long-Bow Championship in Fort Worth. My new hobby, disc golf, takes all over the State.  There are over 50 courses in DFW alone.  Arlington has a fantastic course.

I am a Lawyer in Texas and Mexico,. I've lived in 3 different countries: Cuba, Mexico and USA. I have survived many adversities that made me stronger. Every time I have a goal I work hard to achieve it, and with God's favor I almost always achieve my goals. When I was small I suffered injustices, since then I made an oath to be a lawyer to defend noble causes, protecting the needy and bring back those who have lost their track. I try to balance my life between hard work, pro bono, child and house. Patience is one of my challenges because I always want things done on time, fast and no excuses.. I am a Fort Worth Native, graduate of Trinity Valley High School. After completing my law degree at Baylor Law School, I returned to Fort Worth to begin my career in the office of one of Fort Worth's most respected and experienced attorneys, Art Brender. Soon thereafter I chose Arlington to be my home and established my law office to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington community.. My office practices Plaintiff Personal Injury law, Employment & Labor law and Civil Rights law.
