Before founding HAGRS LLP, Matt was a Partner at the national law firm of Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta for nine years. Matt is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (JAG Corps), having served 22 years in the U.S. Army and Reserves, in both the combat arms (Infantry) and in the Army JAG Corps, as a criminal prosecutor and litigation counsel. He was an Army Ranger, and was Airborne- and Air Assault-qualified. Matt is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) (BS) (Distinguished Cadet, top 5%), the University of Georgia School of Law (JD) (Order of the Coif, Editor-in-Chief of UGA Law Review), and the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s School (LLM) (Honor Graduate).
MaryBeth V. Gibson was born in New York and grew up in Atlanta. She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia, with a B.S. in Biochemistry, and was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society dedicated to the encouragement and recognition of excellence in preprofessional health scholarship. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was an active member of the Environmental Law Association. M. Gino Brogdon, a native of Ohio, is the youngest of eleven children. He received his B.A. in economics in 1983 from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and obtained his J.D. in 1986 from the Indiana University School of Law. Upon completing law school, Brogdon moved to Atlanta to begin his legal career. After establishing a successful solo practice, he served on the State Court of Fulton County from March 1996 to July 2002, and on the Superior Court of Fulton County from July 2002 to December 2005. Gino returned to private practice in 2005, focused on personal injury claims and mediation.. Gino is a frequent speaker at legal education seminars and has also appeared on CNN, MSNBC and GPTV.
