Ms. Rush joined Young and Valkenet as an Associate Attorney in August 2021. After five years of advocating for clients in divorce and custody matters, Ms. Rush has broadened her scope of practice to civil litigation. In 2019, Ms. Rush was recognized as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers, an honor that she has continued to receive in 2020, 2021 and 2022.. In 2015, Ms. Rush graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, summa cum laude, and is a member of the Heuisler Honor Society. While in law school, Ms. Rush was a Rule 16 Attorney in the Disability Law Clinic, served in the Executive Board on the Journal of International Law and earned a concentration in Family Law. Ms. Rush received her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Elizabethtown College.. After graduating law school, Ms. Rush was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Kathleen G. Cox in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore County Bar Association.

Ian was born and raised in Baltimore.  He attended Calvert Hall College High School, and is a graduate of Boston College and the University of Baltimore School of Law.  Before he joined Young & Valkenet, Ian worked at the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore City, in both the felony trial division, and at the district court for the Northwestern precinct.  He also clerked for Judge Clayton Greene, Jr., in Maryland’s highest court.
