After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1996, Kevin pursued a degree in Political Science Pre-law at Michigan State University, where he graduated in 2000. Kevin proceeded to DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated in 2003. While at DePaul, Kevin was an editor on the DePaul Business Law Journal, and clerked for several prestigious personal injury law firms. Upon graduation from law school, Kevin obtained a law license in the State of Illinois, and practiced law in the City of Chicago—specializing in insurance defense and civil litigation. In 2004, Mr. Banyon obtained a law license in the State of Indiana. In 2007, Kevin obtained his law license in the State of Michigan. Additionally, Kevin is licensed to practice before the Illinois Federal Court and Michigan Federal Court. After obtaining his Michigan bar license, Kevin returned to Southwest Michigan to work with his father, Jack Banyon, at the law offices of BURCH & BANYON.  In 2012, Kevin Banyon become the owner and managing partner of Burch & Banyon.

I received my law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Magna Cum Laude) and have been practicing law in St. Joseph since 2014.  Prior to attending law school, I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.  I am an associate attorney at Passaro, Kahne & Taylor Law Offices and practice in the areas of Probate Estate Administration, Trust Administration, and Estate Planning. I am a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Berrien County Bar Association, the Southwestern Michigan Estate Planning Council, and the Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan.  I also volunteer as a grief support group facilitator at Lory’s Place in St. Joseph and as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and neglected children in Berrien County.  I received and continue to update annually a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan for the years 2016-2018.
