Ryan practices residential real estate law and effectively represents buyers, sellers, and lenders. His legal experience ranges from a solo-practitioner law firm to the General Counsel's Office of the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC), the nation’s first Public Health Commission, where Ryan advised and defended the agency’s approximately 1,800 employees and litigated in Suffolk Superior Court. While at BPHC, he wrote substantial portions of a successful and precedent-setting legal brief before Massachusetts Court of Appeals. Ryan is also former small business owner and a licensed Massachusetts Real Estate Broker. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College and a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School.. Prior to joining Datz Law, Ryan ran a successful real estate law practice with Ligris + Associates for over seven years. Before joining the bar, Ryan worked in Global Marketing and Communications at Reebok International Ltd. World Headquarters where he helped oversee and create international marketing campaigns. He also interned with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of the State Auditor where he assisted in large educational audits of the Commonwealth’s public universities.. Using the unique skill sets he has obtained from these diverse industries, Ryan creates dynamic and efficient problem-solving solutions to more effectively advocate for the interests of his clients.

I am a passionate advocate for her clients, including people who have family members with special needs. I have a severely autistic adult son (now living in a group setting in Framingham), so I understand how to navigate the system and what parents and siblings go through. I have been active in Special Olympics, founding Wellesley’s Special Olympics track team (part of Wellesley S.T.A.R.S.).  I am the chair of the Housing Taskforce of AFAM (Advocacy for Autism Massachusetts), and a member of the Housing Subcommittee of Massachusetts’s state-wide Autism Commission.  In addition, I am a director of Camp Starfish, a camp for children with emotional and behavioral issues. I am an active member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners.
