Peter is a Colorado-licensed attorney and mediator who currently focuses his twenty-four years of legal experience into helping families navigate the process of legal relationship-transition, as an advocate, mediator, and advisor.. Admitted to practice in Washington State after graduating from University of Washington (Law Review) in 1991, Peter built a practice as a civil litigator in Seattle Washington with a reputation for clear, passionate and effective advocacy. In 2009, Peter obtained a Masters in Counseling from Seattle University, and has been at times a practicing therapist.. Peter serves on the board of the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee, an educational group composed of attorneys and mental health practitioners working in the family law arena. I discovered criminal defense as a student at the University of Colorado School of Law, where I represented people charged with crimes through the criminal defense clinic and as an intern at the Boulder public defender's office. After graduating from law school, I worked at the Adams County public defender's office representing people charged with crimes ranging from DUI to First Degree Murder. I have done over fifty jury trials and many more contested hearings.
