Courtney Neves is an associate at Voyant Legal and focuses on estate and business planning.. Growing up, Courtney worked alongside his family and grandparents on the Neves farm and ranch. Prior to his death, Courtney’s grandfather hired an attorney to help in the planning of his estate. Because of this planning, when Courtney’s grandfather passed, many legal ‘potholes’ were avoided. At nearly the same time, another member of the community passed unexpectantly, leaving the family farm and land to the family without any advanced estate planning. That was when Courtney realized that he wanted to help families protect their legacies and loved ones through proper planning.. Courtney left his small hometown in Northern Wyoming to come to Utah for his education. After receiving a master’s degree in accountancy from BYU, Courtney pursued a law degree from the University of Utah. While in law school, Courtney passed the CPA exam and is now a licensed CPA and attorney.
