For over 50 years, as I represented clients,I always remembered that my job was to get the results the client wanted.  I concentrated in representing  clients in a wide variety of litigation matters, mostly in major, sophisticated and complex cases.  I always tried to avoid litigation if that is possible.  It is nearly always better for my clients to resolve a dispute before it gets to court.  I would negotiate or mediate a dispute when that made sense.  If not, I considered arbitration or litigation.  In every case, I analyzed the issues to determine the best strategy and tactics to get the best results possible.  Then I implemented that strategy.. I practiced in a multitude of state and federal trial and appellate courts, and also regulatory agencies.  Based on that experience, I now concentrate my practice on acting as an expert witness and consultant in legal malpractice matters, as well as acting as a neutral or representative in arbitrations and mediations.  As a mediator or arbitral neutral, I always remember that my job is to achieve a  solution to the dispute that is fair and reasonable to the parties, avoiding the time and expense of protracted litigation in the courts.
