I help people with all kinds of family law cases: divorce, modification of custody or child support, enforcement of prior orders (also called contempts), adoption, and legitimation/ paternity cases (where the parties were never married but they have a dispute over their children).. I am committed to helping my local community. I created the Family Law Information Class taught at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in partnership with Gwinnett Legal Aid in 2015. This class was created to help people represent themselves in a family law case, because I know that attorneys are expensive, and not everyone can afford them. I still help teach the class. I am a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars - helping teach my fellow attorney's - for family law matters. I was appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia as a mentor for new attorneys through the Transition into Law Practice Program. In 2014, I was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Atlanta Legal Aid Society for my work with the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project and Gwinnett Legal Aid. In 2015, I was selected to participate in the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL) Leadership Academy Class. In 2017, I was recognized by Atlanta Legal Aid for providing more than 50 pro bono hours to the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project, which is part of Atlanta Legal Aid. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I majored in Religious Studies. I am the divorced and remarried mother of a blended family.
