Jonathan is a Shareholder in the Burlington and Bellingham offices of GLP Attorneys and the Managing Shareholder for the Bellingham office. Jonathan joined GLP Attorneys in 2014 and has since successfully represented hundreds of individuals who have suffered personal injuries. Jonathan always strives to get his clients the best outcome.. Before joining the firm, Jon worked as an Associate Attorney in Seattle where he was responsible for complex insurance litigation cases, catastrophic personal injury files, and general commercial cases. He prosecuted many different types of cases, including auto injuries, trip-and-falls ,and slip-and-falls. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice.. Jonathan received his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2011 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Since graduating, Jonathan has been an active member of the Washington State Bar Association since 2012. Jonathan worked for the United States District Court, Eastern District of Washington in Spokane during his Judicial Externship. He conducted research and analysis on various criminal and civil issues, including Habeas Corpus claims, controlled substance crimes and criminal conspiracy.

Four incredible people have had an incredible positive impact.    No man is a more humble and honest  than my father (survived Husky football in mid 50's, received his doctorate and touched countless young people as a school Superintendent).   From my mother, I learned perservance (working as an RN,  never once complaining about the long hours).    My brother was the hardest working athlete I ever saw (WSU baseball player) and he has carried this ethic into a very successful coaching/teaching career.   My wife teaches me compassion and drive, I could not have a more caring, hard working wife and mother of my three children.. I have battle-scarred empathy.   I too have struggled with issues life presents.     I understand the stress losing a job; I know the challenge of  financially surviving in this world; I have experienced family dramas;  and I have felt the unclassey sting of small-town politics.. I have alot of heart and perserverence.    Athletics at a young age instilled this in me.   Although I was never the most talented athlete - I worked very hard to make it to the college level.. I have great legal experience.    I worked as  Prosecutor in 1998, have worked as a Public Defender and private practice for over 20 years.   Also, I served well over a decade in the U.S. Army Reserves as a JAG officer, where I helped hundreds of soldiers which included six short overseas tours (including 3 to Korea).. In addition, I had the distinct honor of being an intern for Paul Luvera and John Murphy in the early 90's--I have never seen men so passionate in their search for justice and their unmatched work ethic.    I was very lucky to office share with several wonderful men and attorneys -- Jim Anderson taught me the importance of a strong community presence; Brian Paxton showed how a fine sense of balance and work can be of benefit and John Ward taught me that being a country gentleman lawyer is a very worthwhile endeavor.. Amme Verbarendse is an Associate Attorney in the Burlington office of GLP Attorneys. She earned BA degrees in both Political Science and Religious Studies from the University of Arizona, and graduated Cum Laude from Texas Tech University School of Law, in Lubbock, Texas. Prior to joining GLP Attorneys in 2018, Amme worked for the Skagit County Superior Court, as well as a law firm in Mount Vernon, Washington. Amme is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association. She is also an Eagle Member of the Washington State Association for Justice. Amme was born and raised in Snohomish County, Washington, and she enjoys singing karaoke and playing volleyball in her free time.
