My practice focuses on labor and employment law. I both advise management on federal and state employment law compliance and defend employers against claims brought against them for wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. In addition, I assist employers with the preparation and implementation of employment policies and contracts, such as employee handbooks, arbitration agreements and severance and compensation agreements.. I have significant experience conducting sexual harassment training, as well as workplace investigations on behalf of employers in connection with allegations of discrimination and harassment.. My clients vary by size and industry. I have successfully represented Fortune 500 Companies, as well as burgeoning start-ups. My clients include public employers, non-profit corporations, and those in private sector industries.. Additionally, effective Fall of 2015, it will be my great privilege to serve as an instructor at the USD Paralegal Program. As a proud alumni of this Program, I take myy role as an educator very seriously given the impact my position has on the professional development of my students. I recognize that I may very well be the first individual to introduce my pupils to the legal industry and its mechanics, which may affect their ultimate decision to pursue a career as either legal assistants or (as in my case), attorneys.

Ms. San Angelo received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona.  Her passion for writing and helping others pushed her to obtain her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law.  Ms. San Angelo’s extracurricular activities at California Western included founding a chapter of the American Constitution Society, volunteering for the California Innocence Project, and working as a Professor’s Assistant.  During Ms. San Angelo’s third semester at California Western she worked as a teacher for the Street Law Program.  Ms. San Angelo takes joy in working with children and adolescents.  As a Street Law teacher, Ms. San Angelo taught underprivileged high school students about their basic rights as United States citizens and young adults.  The Street Law program was one of Ms. San Angelo’s highlights as a law student and budding attorney.. When Ms. San Angelo is not working on firm matters, she leads an active lifestyle.   Ms. San Angelo is very close to her family and regularly travels to Arizona to visit them.  In addition to her love of people, Ms. San Angelo loves animals.  She is a pet owner and also volunteers at the Barking Lot, a no-kill dog shelter in San Diego.
