Raised in Ohio.  Bachelor's degree from Cornell.  Graduate degree in economics from Duke.  Worked as an economist at a major consultancy in Washington, DC, then returned to Ohio.  Earned an MBA (on scholarship) and law degree at Ohio State.  Law review, moot court, and externship with a federal appellate judge while in law school.  Clerked for a federal district court judge after law school.. Started practice as an appellate lawyer with focus on constitutional law.  Later became a "lawyer's lawyer" when lawyers sought representation from me.  I now practice mostly in the area of business law and litigation, including creditor representation in bankruptcy proceedings.  I have extensive experience in pretrial and appellate litigation and, unlike many "litigators," also take cases to trial.   My former employers include Pacific Legal Foundation, Jones, Day, and National Economic Research Associates.. I typically provide representation on an hourly basis.  In appropriate cases I will provide representation for a fixed fee or on a contingency fee basis.  Payment plans are available..
