He pursued multi-district litigation against oil companies and gas station operators for failing to account for the temperature of gasoline and its effect on the value of the gasoline sold to consumers.. Kelley’s diverse trial experience as a prosecutor and her time as a Magistrate Judge has led her to fully understand the inner workings of all stages in the criminal justice system-including how to assess the weaknesses of each criminal case during preliminary hearings or pre-indictment stages, negotiate bonds and plea agreements between attorneys and judges, and zealously protect and defend the rights of her clients. When she is not working for her personal injury or criminal defense clients, Kelley prosecutes cases for the City of Folly Beach. Kelley's litigation background and unique experience as a local Judge make her a strong advocate for all of her clients.

Kathryn Cockrill established her law firm, Law Office of Kathryn M. Cockrill, in 2015. Prior to establishing her law firm, Kathryn Cockrill managed Kuhn and Kuhn, LLC, for four years.  She has practiced probate and estate planning law for 14 years, first as a paralegal and then as an attorney.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a J.D. from Touro Law School in New York .  She passed the South Carolina Bar in 2009.  She is now a member of Wealth Counsel, a prominent nationwide organization of estate planning attorneys.. Mrs. Cockrill also had a prestigious Fellowship working with Judge Condon at the Charleston County Probate Court in 2008.  She is married and lives in Charleston.  She is an active member of the Cathedral Women’s Club at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cathedral.  She loves to read and watch her beloved Connecticut Huskies in women’s (and men’s) basketball.

Jesse A. Kirchner, founding partner, practices civil litigation with a focus on construction litigation and insurance coverage litigation. Prior to joining Thurmond, Kirchner, Timbes & Yelverton, P.A., Kirchner practiced as an associate attorney with Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A., on the construction defect litigation team. Kirchner, who holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Carolina, received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in the top five percent of his law school class. There, he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of Wig and Robe. Kirchner is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, and the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry and is admitted to practice in South Carolina and before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jay Jones is an experienced mediator and civil litigator who has counseled businesses and professionals in South Carolina since 2004.  Jay believes civil litigation should be just that: civil. His demeanor and sense of humor are appreciated by both opposing counsel and juries, making him an effective advocate for his clients. Jay’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation, professional liability defense, products liability, premises liability, insurance defense, construction and personal injury litigation. He holds an "AV Preeminent" peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.  Jay is admitted to all state and federal courts in South Carolina.. Born in Ohio and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jay received his undergraduate degree in from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A.) where he majored in Journalism and was a member of the university’s football and rugby teams. Jay earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law cum laude, where he was President of the Honor Council, Vice-President of the Moot Court Board, member of the Psychology, Public Policy and Law Journal, Chair of Dean’s Cup, as well as a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Alpha Epsilon Lambda honor societies. Additionally, he was the recipient of the Thomas Ewald Memorial Scholarship Award, the highest award for excellence in Litigation Skills.. When not in the office or a court room, Jay stays busy cheering on his children’s sports teams, as well as the Tar Heels and the Blues of Chelsea Football Club. He enjoys boating and going to the beach with his family, and playing tennis, soccer, and golf.
