Mercer is also an experienced trial attorney with many years of trial practice in both state and federal courts. This experience has proven to be extremely valuable in representing families and individuals before the Immigration Court. Mercer has had the amazing experience of working with nationals from around the world. Prior to practicing immigration law, he acted as a Regional Director for Teen Mania Ministries, an international mission’s organization. He was responsible for South America and Asia teams in addition to directing several projects throughout Africa. During those years he spent time overseeing projects in such countries as Ghana, Botswana, South Africa, Lebanon, Malaysia, Peru, Panama, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic and numerous others. It was this period in his life which gave him to a passion for multicultural experiences and immigration. I am a son of Immigrants but I grew up in North Carolina.   My parents underwent the Immigration process almost 50 years ago.  They had a difficult time navigating the Immigration system, that  manner of Immigrating exists today! I decided that practicing the law is a way I could help those that couldn't help themselves and to give back to the community.  I started by practicing criminal defense and traffic maters, wokers compensation, personal injury and uncontested divorce.  These areas of law I continue to practice today!  I then added Immigration as the focal point of my practice as I saw an overlapp in all of these areas. Family is very important to me and I saw an opportunity to help families with all manner of problems.  I enjoy my work and try my best to help anybody I can.
