I concentrate 100% of my practice on representing clients in Social Security Disability and SSI claims.  I assist clients with their initial application, appeals, Adminstrative Law Judge hearings and Appeals Council appeals.. I am certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in Social Security Disability Law; currently one of 41 lawyers state-wide to achieve this distinction. I am passionate about using my training as a mediator and collaborative lawyer (and my time having taught negotiaiton & conflict resolution skills in law school and continuing legal education) to help people and businesses resolve complex disputes in as cost-effective a manner as possible.. Conflict is always expensive-- particularly in terms of the time, stress, energy, and money that often have to be spent dealing with it. The litgaition process is one way to resolve conflict and disputes, but it is not the only way.  And it is rarely if ever the most efficient, quickest, affordable, or enjoyable way. Not a single client has ever approached me after a trial or after having his or her deposition taken and said, "Wow, that was so much fun!  Let's do it again soon, shall we?" And never has a client who paid me to take a matter all the way through depositions, hearings, and trial ever thought I didn't get paid enough for my efforts, and decided to throw in a little something extra for my efforts because he or she felt bad for me.. I am from Winston-Salem, NC, where I attended RJ Reynolds High School. I received a Bachelors of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and upon completion attended Campbell University where I graduated in 1995. While at Campbell I finished first in my class in trial advocacy as well as two other subjects.I knew early on that my passion was trying cases in the courtroom. I was also drawn to criminal defense because I believe criminal defense lawyers are the guardians of our Constitution and our civil liberties. During law school, I worked at the Appellate Defender’s office where I assisted with death penalty appeals. I have also worked at the Federal Public Defender’s office where I assisted with Federal defense cases. After graduating from law school, I joined the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s office where I worked for over two years. While there, I gained invaluable courtroom experience that continues to serve me to this day. In June of 1998, I opened my own practice where I focus on all criminal and traffic matters.I give 110% to every client regardless of the type of case. Dara Duncan Larson received her law degree from Florida State University. While attending Florida State, she spent time studying international law at Oxford University in England.  She also attended Elon University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications.. Daniel is a senior associate attorney at Elliot Morgan Parsonage, PLLC in the firm's Charlotte office located in the historic Dilworth neighborhood just outside of Uptown Charlotte. He focuses his practice primarily in employment litigation represeting indiviuals in state and federal court.  His practice focuses on claims involving Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and various state law claims associated with employment. Additionally, Daniel's practice involves the review, negotiation, and litigation involving  severance agreements, non-solicitiaiton and/or non-compete agreements, and employment contracts.. Originally from outside the Washington D.C. area, Daniel moved to North Carolina in 2004 where he attended Elon University and Elon University School of Law. During his time at Elon Law, Daniel served as Student Bar Association President and a member of the Public Interest Law Society.
