Jon continued to pursue his interest in teaching while at law school, by teaching a practical law class to students at an inner-city high school in Washington, DC.. Following his graduation from law school, Jon moved to Springfield, Missouri, where he worked at a small law firm in Springfield which specialized in a nationwide practice involving automotive crashworthiness. This experience led Jon to realize the joys of working for a small law firm, and working for individuals rather than corporations or insurance companies.. In March 2002, Jon moved with his wife Laura to Charlotte where he began working for The Law Offices of R. Kent Brown as an Associate Attorney. In 2012 Jon was named as a Rising Star by North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine and then again in 2013 and 2014; and is the only Charlotte lawyer to be named on this list for each of those years for the field of Personal Injury.  Jon has also been listed on the 2014 and 2015 editions of Best Lawyers for his practice in Workers' Compensation and is aslo AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell.  Jon serves on the Litigation Section Council for the North Carolina Bar Association, and is also on the Amicus Curiae committee for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. In his spare time, Jon likes to read, hike, run and play the piano.

Jared Gardner is a commercial litigator with fifteen years of practice in multiple state and federal courts, including North Carolina’s Business Court. In 2004, Attorney Dexter Benoit started his legal career in Chicago after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law. He focused on personal injury from the get-go, but at the time he primarily defended large medical institutions and insurance companies convicted of wrongdoing. He quickly realized his true passion was helping the people who had been injured, not the institutions responsible for accidents. He relocated to Charlotte and opened Benoit Law Firm, PLLC in 2011. Since then he has won large settlements, including those that brought in over a million dollars, for clients in North Carolina. When he is not in his office or the courtroom, Dexter is actively involved in several local organizations committed to assisting those victimized by other’s negligence.

I was born in Colombia, South America. Moved to Charlotte, NC from Miami Fl in 1999. I attended Western Carolina University and University of North Carolina Charlotte for my undergraduate degree. I have worked in various law firms and owned a translation company before attending Charlotte School of Law, where I received my Juris Doctor. I have experience in many areas of practice including: Real Estate, Estate Planning, Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation, Immigration, and Family. I am also fluent in Spanish.

I represent businesses and their owners in connection with bankruptcy, business disputes and business transactions.  Before joining Hull & Chandler, I was a partner with a large, international law firm where I represented parties in financial transactions and bankruptcy matters that ranged in size from $10 million to $500 million.  I joined Hull & Chandler in 2016 to bring this expertise to locally-based businesses and their owners in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.

I love competition and thrive on being a trial lawyer.  I'm known as the 'DWI Guy' and 100% own it.  It's what I do.  I'm in the Legal Elite Hall of Fame as my colleagues voted me as North Carolina's Top Criminal Law Attorney in 2016.  I appreciate all the awards and recognition, from serving on Law Review to Business NC's Top 30 Under 30, to Super Lawyers, to the National Trial Lawyer's Top 40 Under 40, but it's helping people that makes me truly happy.. I’m a West Virginia native who fights to the end.  I started my professional career in the Corporate & Investment Banking world.  Although very interesting, I didn’t know my personal end-game until I formed RTS Law Group.  Our employees are sharp, passionate, and feel like they are members of my family (some actually are).  This has all been a dream-come-true.  I’m looking forward to fighting on your behalf.

I have been practicing federal and state criminal defense in Charlotte for over 20 years. Since 2010, I have been a State Bar Board Certified Specialist in State and Federal Criminal Law. Since 2012, I have been selected each year as a North Carolina Super Lawyer and have received the highest peer rating (AV preeminent) from Martindale-Hubbell. I have handled every type of criminal case and have always striven to obtain the best possible results for my clients. Unlike many criminal defense lawyers, I do not run a high volume practice where the client is expected to quickly plead guilty and move on. Instead, I studiously look for weaknesses in the prosecution's case with an eye towards winning the case in front of a jury. I am not afraid to try a case, having tried over 130 jury trials during my legal career. On the other hand, if the case appears to be one which will likely result in a guilty verdict, I use the weaknesses in the prosecution's case and the positive aspects of my client's background to try to negotiate a better plea bargain than would otherwise be offered.

I have been empowering businesses and individuals for over 10 years. Most of my clients mirror who I am as a person: self-made, hardworking, tenacious, dedicated, innovative, and fearless. Whether it is advising clients on how to protect their business’ assets, or preparing a witness for trial, the goal is always the same: to empower the client, to make them stronger, better, more prepared so that they can reach their goals and succeed. I consider several of my clients to be close personal friends and try to approach each new client with the intention that the relationship be a lasting one.. I have had the unique opportunity to see the practice of law from a variety of different viewpoints having worked for a North Carolina State Court prior to going to law school, clerked for the Department of Justice during law school, and working for a large United States Government contractor and private law firms after graduating law school.. I am a Master Gardener with the North Carolina Mecklenburg County Extension Master Gardeners, and a member of Frazier Park Community Garden.  I am also a member of Carolina Breast Friends where I try to offer advice and comfort to individuals who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.. After being the first in my family to graduate from college, I left the comfort of my hometown in Eastern North Carolina and moved to Washington, D.C., where I quickly became a foodie.  I prefer to spend my free tim surrounded by nature and can often be seen gardening with my partner George in the front yard of their home, riding my bike to the office, and walking out cats, Roger Parker and Marco Money, on a leash in Freedom Park.
