George Piemonte received his B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Florida in 1982 and his law degree from Nova University in 1987. He was one of the first lawyers in North Carolina to become a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law. George is a member of the North Carolina State Bar’s Specialization Committee for Social Security Disability Law; is a member of the Board of Directors, serving as Vice Chair of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice; and serves on the Lawyers’ Assistance Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section and the CLE Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section.. George has practiced law since 1987 and has focused his practice on Social Security Disability, Veterans Disability, and Railroad Disability since 1995. George is admitted to all courts of the State of North Carolina, the Western, Middle, and Eastern District Courts of North Carolina, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (serving on the Board of Directors), the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the Mecklenburg County Trial Lawyers Association.. George has been married to his wife, Linda, since 1986. He has three children: Jeff, Lauren, and Chris, and two Labradors: Reuben and Hersey. His hobbies are bowling, working in his yard, and learning. He also enjoys spending time in the mountains.
