After law school, Mr. Carter was privileged to clerk for the Honorable John McClarty of the Tennessee Court of Appeals. He is a former member of the Brock-Cooper American Inn of Court.. Mr. Carter serves as a Criminal Justice Act attorney in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and also teaches a criminal law paralegal course at Chattanooga State Technical Community College.
