I grew up in Nashville, attending Eakin Elementary, Caldwell Middle, and Hillsboro High Schools. In my life, I have been a stepchild and a stepfather; I endured a divorce, and have children of my own. While at Hillsboro I received the Ed Hessey award (ask me). After spending five great years in college during the Payton Manning years, I graduated from U.T. (Knoxville) in 1997, and went to work in Nashville and Charleston, South Carolina for the trucking division of the world’s largest international shipping and logistics company. After three years in the real world, I went back to school, and received my law degree in 2003 from the University of South Carolina. While there I clerked for a local law firm and worked on the student staff of the ABA Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal. I was on the Dean's List and found time to enjoy USC.. After graduation, I spent time working in a law firm and as an Assistant Public Defender before settling into my private, solo, practice in 2007. My focus is family and domestic law. I am currently admitted to practice in South Carolina (inactive status) and Tennessee.

Life has transitions.. Many transitions like these can be frightening.  Regardless of these transitions or their circumstances, it's important to realize that transitions are not always signs of failure.  Instead, transitions are often opportunities for growth.  I've seen this every day in my client's lives, as I've seen my clients become better fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, and citizens while facing the harrowing challenges that a legal matter can bring.  Seeing loved-ones navigate life's transitions and overcome obstacles is part of what inspired me to become an attorney.. I grew up in East Tennessee, and aside from a quick law school semester studying International Law in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I have always lived in East Tennessee.  I went to Morristown East High, where I served as president of my class.  I graduated With Highest Honors and enrolled at the University of Tenessee on a full-tuition scholarship.  I was a four-year member of the University's Honors Program and majored in Public Administration.  I completed my required Senior Honors Project on the subject of Special Education Law.  I graduated With Honors with a B.S. in Business Administration and was admitted to the University of Tennessee College of Law.. At UT Law, I participated in coursework covering advocacy and trial work,  business issues, estate planning, criminal sentencing issues, education law, administrative law, and numberous other important fields of law.  I earned scholarships for dedication to public service and international study.  I was honored to serve as an editor of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.  During my third year, I studied both International Trade Law and Comparative Corporate Governance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in a program with students from several prestigious law schools.  I also represented Knoxville-area citizens in their court cases under special licensure as a Student Attorney in the UT Legal Clinic, which has routinely been ranked as one of the top clinical legal training programs in the U.S.. Upon passing the bar, I went to work at a firm in Upper East Tennessee while residing in the Morristown Area.  I decided after a year that I would be better able to serve clients in my own practice in Morristown, so I founded my firm in 2010 with a focus on being accessible and client-centered.  I have handled approximately 600-800 cases since 2009.  To date, I have practiced in at least 18 East Tennessee counties in 7 judicial districts and have handled several cases in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in both the Knoxville and Greeneville Divisions. I have also practiced in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.. Service to the public and profession is a priority that I've honored by helping found and manage Hamblen County's free Legal Clinic and serving as a member of the Tennesssee Bar Association's House of Delegates.  I have also served as a member of the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of East Tennessee.  In 2012 I was elected by the Rutledge, Tennessee Board of Mayor and Alderman to serve as City Attorney.. Law is about more than what gets put in the law books. I've honestly learned most of what I know about law from my seeing how my clients handle their transitions, because I've seen how law affects them and their families.  This experience has allowed me to become more observant and understanding, and, in turn, has made me a better advocate for my clients.. A. GREGORY RAMOS (“Gregg”) is past President of the Nashville Bar Association, having served in that capacity in 2004.  He is a member of the law firm North, Pursell, & Ramos PLC in Nashville, TN, where he maintains a general civil litigation practice with an emphasis in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and employment law.. Mr. Ramos received his law degree from Arizona State University College of Law in 1980 and his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University in 1977. Upon graduation from law school in 1980, Mr. Ramos started his legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor in Phoenix, AZ, where he tried over forty (40) jury trials.  In 1984, he moved from his home state of Arizona to Nashville, Tennessee so his wife, Sandy, could pursue a songwriting career in country music. This turned out to be a good move as Sandy’s songs have been recorded by the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood, Barbara Mandrell, the Forester Sisters, Gene Watson and a host of others. Sandy and Gregg have been married for thirty-five (35) years and have two grown children, Melody and David.. Mr. Ramos is a past Board Chair of Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Inc. and was named Catholic Charities’ Volunteer of the Year for 2008.  He also is a past president of Conexión Américas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Hispanic families realize their aspirations for social and economic advancement by promoting their integration into the Middle Tennessee community.  In addition, he is a past member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville (Chair of the HR Committee) and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Justice Center, whose mission is to advocate on behalf of poor Tennesseans. Mr. Ramos serves as well on the Leadership Council of Lipscomb University’s Nelson and Sue Andrews Institute of Civic Leadership.  Mr. Ramos is a member of the Rotary Club of Nashville and was in the 33rd class of Leadership Nashville (Class of 2009).  He serves as well on Leadership Nashville’s Board of Trustees.  Mr. Ramos also serves on the Board of Fifth Third Bank.. Governor Phil Bredesen appointed Mr. Ramos in 2006 to serve on the Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council. He is a past member of the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Committee on Public Trust and Confidence in the Courts and recently completed a three-year term on the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission.  He currently serves on the Tennessee Education Lottery’s Advisory Council on Minority Business Participation.. In early January of 2009, Mr. Ramos was named as the “2008 Nashvillian of the Year” by the Nashville Scene.  In the July 17, 2009 edition of the Nashville Business Journal, Mr. Ramos was included in the “Best of the Bar, 2009”, and in October 2009, Mr. Ramos was honored with the “Good Guys” award from the Nashville Women’s Political Caucus.  On December 28, 2009, the Tennessean newspaper in Middle Tennessee included Mr. Ramos in its list of the top “Tennessee Political Movers”.  Finally, in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, Mr. Ramos has been featured in the NashvillePost’s “In Charge” edition of Nashville’s most prominent leaders.

Abby takes the same passion she has for her clients to the Memphis community. She was also on the board of directors for the Young Lawyers Division from 2009 to 2013, president of the Young Lawyers Division in 2012 and a member of the Leadership Forum from 2009 to 2010.. A native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Ms. Webb remained in Memphis after graduating cum laude from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Memphis.
