About the scholarship
Lawbamba is an online directory that helps people find and compare attorneys across the US. Each year we award a $1,000 scholarship to a law student who writes the most thoughtful essay on the prompt below — a topic that sits at the center of what we build every day.

“How technology is changing access to legal representation”
Write 500–1000 words in response. We're looking for original thinking, not a survey of existing writing on the topic — cite sources if you use them, but this should be your own argument.
Eligibility & rules
- Open to any student currently enrolled full- or part-time at an accredited US law school (JD or LLM candidates).
- One submission per applicant per award cycle.
- Submissions must be your own original, unpublished work.
- The winner is selected at Lawbamba's discretion and notified by email at the address submitted below.
- By submitting, you agree we may publish your name, school, and a short excerpt of your essay if you win.
