Upon graduating law school, from 2007 to 2010 I served as an Assistant District Attorney General for the Fourteenth Judicial District of the State of Tennessee where I gained significant trial experience in prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.. In January 2010, I joined The Crain Law Center, LLC, located in Brentwood, Tennessee where I gained significant civil trial litigation experience. In addition, in 2010 I became litigation counsel for the American Center for Law & Justice, a non-profit religious liberties organization, where I fought to defend religious freedom nationwide.. In March 2012, I founded Southerland Law Firm, PLLC. I am admitted to practice before all Tennessee state courts, and the federal courts of the Middle & Eastern Districts of Tennessee and the Eastern & Western Districts of Arkansas. I have also represented clients in several other federal courts across the country, including in Texas, California, Connecticut, and New York..
