Andrew "Andy" Bailey was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Following his graduation from East High School, he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Jamaica. He then attended Laramie County Community College, where he captained the basketball team. He finished his undergraduate work at Southern Virginia University.
