In my spare (!) time, I raise alpacas. I have a herd of 60 animals with 8 babies due this summer. I have most of their fiber processed into Pendleton blankets, but I also spin, weave and knit alpaca fiber to relax. I also have four horses and ride as often as I can.

I worked as a public defender for more than 10 years, first in Kansas City, Missouri, and then in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  During that time, I represented people who were charged with crimes ranging from fishing without a license to first degree murder.  No matter what the charge, I did my best to help my client through the difficult process and obtain a favorable outcome for them.. In order to help my clients achieve their goals, I became skilled at helping my clients find community programs to help with substance abuse and other issues; I learned to successfully negotiate with prosecutors for more lenient sentences, and I learned how to present my client's circumstances to the judge in the best way possible.. And when my client chose to go to trial, I fought hard for them.  I have tried more than 25 cases to a jury, and have obtained many acquittals.. Now, I have opened my own low-volume private practice so that I can dedicate more time and attention to each client.

I was raised in the small town of Chugwater, Wyoming.  My law degree was earned at the University of Oklahoma College of Law.  I have lived and practiced in Cheyenne, Wyoming since 1988.  I practiced for twenty five years in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program in the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C.  The photo of me on the steps of the United States Supreme Court was taken after argument in Cloer v. Sebelius, one of two of my vaccine injury cases won in the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, to be reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court.

I was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I enjoy living in Cheyenne because of the people. Wyoming people care and will reach a hand out to help anybody. I joined the firm in 2014 after eight years at the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office. While there, I gained substantial experience prosecuting disciplinary matters before almost all state professional licensing boards, and I was also responsible for representing numerous state agencies in employment and personnel matters before both state and federal agencies, including the United States Department of Labor, United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Labor Standards Division, to name a few. Andrew "Andy" Bailey was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Following his graduation from East High School, he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Jamaica. He then attended Laramie County Community College, where he captained the basketball team. He finished his undergraduate work at Southern Virginia University. There, he was again the captain of the basketball team and earned his degree in history. Following his undergraduate studies he gradauated from the University of Wyoming’s College of Law prior to his admission to the Wyoming State Bar..
