Jillian Caires is a native of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where she graduated from Lake City High School in 2004.  Jillian attended Washington State University, graduating in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. In 2010, Jillian began law school at Gonzaga University School of Law. Jillian earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Gonzaga in 2012, magna cum laude. In law school Jillian was a member of the Mugel National Tax Moot Court Team and the Gonzaga Journal of International Law; Jillian was awarded the top grade in Legal Research and Writing, Estate Planning, Community Property, Criminal Procedure, and Animal Law.. Following law school, Jillian served two years serving as law clerk to the Honorable Benjamin Simpson, District Judge, First Judicial District of the State of Idaho. During her clerkship Jillian had the opportunity to work on numerous complex civil and criminal matters.. In her free time Jillian enjoys running, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her family.  Jillian has completed over ten marathons and two Ironman triathlons. Together, she and her husband have explored many of the natural wonders of the West from the summits of Mt. Shasta and Half Dome to the floor of the Grand Canyon.

I have served clients in North Idaho for over 34 years with my work in real estate, business and commercial transactions, corporate law, and government relations. I was an Idaho State Senator from 1989 to 1994 and served as Assistant Minority Leader in 1993-1994. I was appointed by the Idaho State Bar to a six-year term on the Idaho Judicial Council, completing my service in 2005.. I handle a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as counseling numerous small to national-sized companies on issues including contracts, commercial transactions, real estate acquisition and development, employment matters and corporate law.. I have extensive experience representing lenders in creditor's rights cases, bankruptcy proceedings and prosecuting adversary proceedings pertaining to bankruptcy cases.  These proceedings include successfully litigating creditor's claims pertaining to non-dischargeability of debt and objections to discharge due to debtor misconduct.  Furthermore, a significant portion of my practice includes insurance defense, employment law, and tort litigation.  I also handle a wide variety of other matters which include commercial litigation and real estate litigation as well.

Doug Marfice has over twenty-five years of experience as an attorney in Idaho and Washington. He practices primarily in the areas of real estate and civil litigation. Doug has represented property owners, brokers, developers, lenders, homeowners’ associations, and title insurers.
