I graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in April, 1984. I was admitted to the Florida Bar in October, 1984, first working with the Law Offices of Lawrence Michael Shoot in Miami. I was immediately immersed in the fields of Family Law, Real Property and Title Insurance, Corporations, Estate Planning and Probate. My work load also included over forty foreclosure actions. I opened my own practice in June, 1986, moving to Broward County to be closer to family, and have continuously been a sole practitioner here ever since.. We currently are underwritten by Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Stewart Title Guaranty Company. I average approximately 20 to 25 CLE credits each year in the real estate and title insurance fields.. Between 2003 and 2007 I handled hundreds of residential real estate closings for Regions Bank, as well as a number of commercial transactions for them, before the market downturn and personnel changes affected our relationships. Previously we have represented and handled transactions, both residential and/or commercial for Premier Community Bank (no longer in existence), and currently for Florida Shores Bank and FirstBank Florida. I have a new relationship with the re-invigorated Bank United..
