Zach is an Iowa native, born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Iowa State University in 2007 and graduated Cum Laude from Creighton University School of Law in 2013, finishing in the top 15% of his class (16th of 123). While at Creighton, Zach achieved the highest grade in two legal writing classes and tied for the highest grade in negotiable instruments.. Following law school, Zach accepted a year-long judicial clerkship with the Iowa District Court, Fourth Judicial District. As part of his clerkship, Zach performed legal research and writing for the judges of the Fourth Judicial District, which includes all the counties in Southwest Iowa.  This experience was invaluable.. My practice focuses primarily on civil litigation.  I was born in Atlantic , Iowa, and received my B. A. with distinction in Spanish from Iowa State University in 2002.  I then returned to Atlantic after undergraduate studies and taught Spanish at the high school level for six years.  I decided to switch careers and was admitted to Creighton University School of Law in 2008.  I received my Juris Doctor in 2011 and served as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 company for over three years.  In 2015, I entered private practice and continue to repesent clients in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation, insurance law, commercial law, and family law.

Kale grew up in the Council Bluffs area and attended Treynor Community Schools where his mom has taught for the past 25+ years. He grew up watching his dad, Scott, a partner at Peters Law Firm, help clients. This combination of close personal ties with the Southwest Iowa area and the potential to have a meaningful impact on those within it led Kale to pursue his own career as an attorney. I was born March 14, 1960 in Council Bluffs and am a fourth generation member of the Peters Law Firm in Council Bluffs. I began working full time for the firm in 1983 as a law clerk, joined as an associate in 1985,  joined the firm as a partner in 1990 and have worked here continuously ever since. My practice is currently confined primarily to Iowa Workers' Compensation Claims on behalf of the Claimant, but I also handle claimant's cases in Nebraska. I also handle personal injury and automobile litigation. I am a member of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Iowa Association for Justice and I have been active in civic and community affairs including serving on the Westfair board for 17 years from 1988 to 2005. I am currently active in the Pottawattamie County Pheasants Forever Chapter and other civic organizations.

I graduated from law school at the University of Nebraska in 1982 and started employment with the Peters Law Firm immediately after passing the bar exam in June 1982.  Initially hired to perform all areas of the general practice of law, I was directed toward the area of litigation by senior members of the firm and have been practicing in that area since early in my career.. My wife Sue and I were married in 1981 and are the parents of 4 children and currently the grandparents of 3 grandchildren and counting.  We have participated in many civic activities including the YMCA, coaching youth sports, volunteering at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and working on the boards for Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, Micah House, St. Albert Catholic Schools and various fund raising efforts for local non-profit entities.. I have served as the president of the American Red Cross local chapter, St. Albert Regional Board of Education State of Iowa Legal Aid Board of Directors as well as the president of the Peters Law Firm, P.C.. I am a member of the Iowa and Nebraska Bar Associations and have been named a fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers.  I also am a member of the Iowa Association for Justice.. My practice is evenly split between defending and prosecuting legal claims. I have tried numberous cases to jury verdict with favorable results in a wide variety of cases including drowning cases, medical malpractice, defective products, quadraplegia cases, farm accidents, contracts, will contests and toxic exposure in addition to automobile and workers compensation claims.
